BMGT484, Dr. Mary Harms Examines the process of developing, implementing, and analyzing strategies for successful digital marketing practices. Topics ranged from SEO, to social media, to web design and implementation. During the semester, students learned how to navigate web design platforms - this website is the outcome of that!

MARKETING RESEARCH METHODS
BMGT452, Dr. Bobby Zhou Focuses on aiding marketing decision-making through exploratory, descriptive and casual research. Our semester-long team project involved designing a survey, gathering results, analyzing these data, and producing recommendations for Peloton Bike.

CONSUMER ANALYSIS
BMGT451, Professor Yu Chen Wu Centers on buyer behavior concepts through the lenses of psychology, sociology, and economics - essentially diving into the consumer's mind. My team analyzed the relationship between female buyers and video games, ultimately uncovering reasons why women are both drawn in and turned away from these brands.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT
BMGT495, Dr. Protiti Dastidar A case-based course where students learn to play the role of the "strategic manager." Emphasis is placed on how a firm can formulate effective strategies to achieve competitive advantage and earn above average profits. Throughout the semester, my team and I worked on a situation presented by Geico, answering the question of how the company should respond to advancements of digital technology and AI in the insurance industry. We identified pain points and presented a solution to a team of employees at the end of the term.
Supply Chain Management

TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN
BMGT476, Professor Holly Zhang Provides students with hands-on experience in SAP. Major emphasis is placed on demonstrating that ERP and other advanced systems result in supply chain cost reductions and service improvements. In a semester-long simulation, my team and I competed as a company against other team within the class. We used SAP to track the supply chain process, ultimately maximizing efficiency and increasing profit for our business.

INTERNATIONAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
BMGT477, Professor Koki Nagata The study of the importance of the supply chain management within a global context. Analysis of various international companies provides a deeper understanding of logistics operations. Through various case studies, we learned about the global supply chain and its impact on business, the economy, and general society.

PURCHASING AND INBOUND LOGISTICS
BMGT472, Professor Mary Ann Wagner Analysis of the resupply activities of supply chain management, including purchasing policies, transportation planning, and inventory control, with a focus on total cost minimization. By participating in in-class simulations and analyzing case studies, we gained in-depth knowledge of how supply chain management leads to the establishment of a sustainable competitive advantage.

INTRODUCTION TO TRANSPORTATION
BMGT370, Professor Leland Gardner Explores the economics, energy use, and finances of each mode of transportation as well as the impact of government policies on each mode's future. Through case studies and analysis of current events, we learned about various hot topics and trends in the industry, providing a deeper understanding of logistics management in today's context.

College Park Scholars
The impact of media and technology on the world.
Directed by Dr. Kalyani Chadha, Media, Self and Society analyzes the role that various forms of media play in family life, politics, the economy and other elements of society, examining the effects of advancements in the industry.
Students engage in discussions and debate about topics related to media, including trends, technology, current events, and its impact on society. Given the complex and multifaceted nature of our media landscape, students focus on the interaction of the forces of technology, culture, economics and business as they operate in the context of the media.
